We keep 3/32" glass to 1/4" glass in stock, and we can cut the glass to practically any shape or size you desire. There are different uses for the varying thicknesses. 3/32" to 1/8" glass is often used for window panes and picture frames, while 1/4" glass is frequently used for table tops and shelves. We have thicker glass available, but often the thicker glass is tempered to reduce breakage.
Mirrors come in 2 thicknesses: 1/8" and 1/4". We keep both in stock and can cut them into different shapes, drill holes, and cut within the mirror to accommodate light fixtures, faucets, outlets, and more. 1/8" mirror is used most often when the mirror is framed, and 1/4" mirror is best for a free-standing mirror.
Plexiglass (acrylic) and Lexan (polycarbonate) are two types of plastic commonly used for projects to create barriers and replacements for glass. We keep both in stock in different colors and thicknesses and can cut them to almost any shape or size you need. Our technicians can also drill holes.
We can usually replace a single pane of glass in your frame on the same day. And if you have a double or triple pane insulated glass window, we keep many standard sizes in our warehouse. If your window is an odd or custom size, we may need to order the glass. If your custom glass has to be ordered, you can take the window home with you once we get the measurements, so you don't have to worry about boarding up your opening.
Patterned glass is used most often in cabinet doors. It is typically between 1/8" and 3/16" thick. The availability of thicker obscure glass varies based on the style and whether the glass needs to be tempered. If you want obscure glass in a door or a window near a door, it would need to be a safety glass that would require tempering. Cabinet door glass does not need to be tempered.
Whether you need to fix a broken window glass, have a broken mirror, are working on a project, or want to upgrade, we can help. Our experienced technicians and helpful staff will walk you through the process. We can install glass and mirrors into frames, cabinets, window frames, and more. Or, if you want to install the mirror or glass yourself, we can simply cut what you need for pickup in our store.
